PhD - Religion & Culture
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Religion and Culture at IUDI equips scholars to navigate and address the rich and complex cultural and religious diversity of Africa from an Evangelical Christian perspective. The program integrates advanced studies in comparative religion, cultural anthropology, and contextual theology, enabling learners to understand how religious and cultural traditions shape African communities. Students are prepared to foster understanding, reconciliation, and transformation through biblically-informed and holistic approaches to ministry and scholarship.
Through specialized coursework, in-depth research, and the completion of a doctoral dissertation, students engage critically with the challenges and opportunities presented by Africa's pluralistic contexts. Graduates emerge as thought leaders, educators, and intercultural practitioners, empowered to drive meaningful change in ministry, academia, and intercultural initiatives through cross-cultural engagement.
